Help with centerpieces??

I need some ideas for inexpensive centerpieces. We want to have an elegant wedding, but we just can't afford a floral arrangement for each of ten tables. Our colors are chocolate brown and dusty pink, for an evening wedding. Thanks in advance!

Reply:if you want nice flowers on some important tables like parents tables or immediate family you can use your bridesmaids bouquets for small centerpieces. this is a really useful and frugal way to reduce the number of centerpieces you need to buy/create and if you have a large wedding party or a small guest list you can really save money this way!

candles or bowls filled with water and floating candles, loose flower petals strewn across the table, all these small touches look really great under dim lighting in a reception hall and save room on the table for the china.
Reply:A good friend of mine purchased picture frames and placed pictures of all the people that will be at the wedding in the frames and put them on the tables, pictures of the past and present. Then you have conversation pieces plus pictures to keep for years to come.
Reply:3 cylinder, glass vases(all different sizes or just one large), filled with water and one orchid anchored down in the water(so the flower is completely submerged). It doesn't have to be an orchid....just one exotic, delicate flower with a pretty stem. Votive candles surrounding the vases all placed on a circular, mirror. Congrats!
Reply:GIRLFRIEND RUSH TO YOUR NEAREST DOLLAR STORE BUY 2 OF THE GLASS CANDLE HOLDERS FOR EACH TABLE PUT PINK CANDLE ON FIVE TABLE AND BROWN CANDLES ON THE OTHER FIVE GET 10 IVY VINE ALSO AND RUN THEM AROUND THE CANDLE HOLDERS GET A BAG OD HERSEY KISSES ALL SLIVER AND SPRINKLE GOOD HANDFULS AROUND THE ARRANGEMENT YOU HAVE SPENT MAYBE 25.00 HOPE THIS HELPS
Reply:Go to a craft store like Michael's and buy candles and surround them with small silk flowers--get 3 different size candles so they are different heights--wait until they have what you want on half price sale. Or you can buy flat mirror squares and sprinkle confetti on them with a candle in the middle--the mirror reflects the light and it is beautiful. Or sprinkle rose petals or whatever your flower girl will be sprinkling down the aisle down the middle of the tables. Or make a centerpiece for each table with a collage of pictures of the bride and groom, from childhood up. Or...well, there are just about a thousand different things to do! Honestly, though, centerpieces don't have to be that expensive. You can use inexpensive flowers like carnations, daisies, baby's breath, etc., with a lot of green. Forget your florist. Go to someplace like Costco or Sam's club--you can get something that will match or coordinate with your wedding flowers for about $15 each, and no one will be the wiser. If you make something else, in the end you've only saved maybe $100. Think about it.
Reply:You can have a few tables with low centerpieces and other tables with http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r... But of course with your colors. And have candles on every table. Candles are less expensive than flowers.
