What do you think about these favors?

Our wedding is in October and our colors are sage green and chocolate brown. We are incorporating pears a lot in our reception (because the green works well with our colors). For example, we are filling big tall vases with pears and floral arrangement on top.





These are the favors that I want and they can actually make the chocolate drizzle sage green and chocolate brown to match our colors! Is it weird to have apple favors when we are incorporating pears so much in the reception?

What do you think about these favors?
I think there great and even a littel bit elegent. Just make sure to not go with the pink blue and purple.
Reply:My soon to be sister-in-law did something like this. She had pears in these bags with writing that said "Brad and Melissa, what a perfect pear." I thought it would really cute. But it was very expensive order all of those pears. They receive them the day before the wedding, all 300 of them. At the rehearsal dinner, all of us were putting them together.





It's up to you. If you can finical afford them, then go ahead. If you are decorating these yourself, then make sure you have the reinforcements.

I think its fine to use apples and as others say, why not use some granny smiths to decorate as well. that would be really pretty to do the apples and pears together for a fall wedding. congrats and good luck. definitely go with those favours. its something everyone will enjoy.
Reply:They are really sweet, I like them, and they are not just the same as everyone else, something a little different, well done. I don't think it is weird to have apples when you are using pears elsewhere, both are fall type fruits aren't they? I also disagree with the person who said you should use autumnal colours, why limit yourself, sage and brown work well together
Reply:Your answer is right in front of you....use apples AND pears. You can use green apples in some arrangements and pears in the others. Problem solved.

Reply:I love the apples, dont think it would hurt to have them and pears.
Reply:No since it is in the fall you can use a bunch of different fruits. You could also use some pumpkins as a decoration. They look good and will be something different as a favor. I would like it if I was a guest.

I wonder tho, why in Oct, you haven't included the autumn leaves colors of red, orange and yellow along with your sage and chocolate?


Your wedding, of course, and your choice. Mine would have been to add the others.

Reply:I think they are nice and diffrent. At least they will enjoy eatting the favors . Most favors end up in the trash or packed away never to be seen again lol.
Reply:These are cute and for the ones that can't eat them you can give fortune cookies. Let people choose which they want from a tray. I do not know where you can get fortune cookies the colors you want. Maybe you can ask at a chinese restaurant or other oriental/ Asian eatery.
