Trying to identify the flowers in this floral arrangement to describe to a friend. However, I have no idea. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

What kind of flowers are these?
Dahlias. It is a tuber flower kind of like how a potato grows. They come in a giant variety or a normal size. Giant up to 12-24 inches and regular 3-6 inches.
