Flower colors????

My fiance' and I decided to move our wedding from January 2009 to April 2008. However, we already decided on our colors which are apple red, champagne, and ivory and we don't want to change them. Since my wedding was in the winter time I wanted to use deep red roses and cream roses in my floral arrangements but now that it will be in spring I can't come up with any nice types of flowers to use!!!! I do still want to use red to accent my flowers in some way. Could you guys please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flower colors????
Deep red roses, and pink roses.
Reply:Peonies. They will be in season, they come in reds, creams and pinks, they have huge impressive blooms, and they hold up well. Ask your florist. By the way, my wedding is next may, and my colors are red and ivory, too!
Reply:Red tulips would be absolutely stunning! And peonies are beautiful and very spring like (but are on the more expensive end). Lillies and tulips would be a beautiful spring arrangement. But you don't have to give up roses. Roses are beautiful year round and would still be appropriate in April. Talk to your florist, I'm sure she'll have some ideas to make them more spring-like.
Reply:Why change? I have done many Spring and Summer weddings with those colors. It's YOUR wedding so use what you like.
Reply:congrats!!!!!!!!! well since its spring time why dont u go for a variety of flowres instead of one type? it will look more colourful and cheerful! u can hire a decoretor too.
Reply:Wow! Those colors sound absolutely gorgeous! Okay...you can still totally use those colors. Typically, apple red is a bright red anyway, not a deep red. Still use the ivory and champagne, but use a bright red for your flowers...like bright red roses instead of deep red. Also, you could use red coral pieces in your centerpieces. Go on the Knot.com and look through there photos. Click on photos then choose the red color scheme..this will give you tons of ideas! Good luck and happy planning!
Reply:There is no reason to not use roses. They are the kind of flower that can be used in a wedding year round.
Reply:Gerber daises, lilys, tulips, hydrangeas, calla lilies, mums and hibiscus are all great and im using some of them in my wedding
Reply:You can still uses those flowers for April. But if you want to change anything you can add daffodils or gerber daisy, tulips or any other spring like flower. However, I personally would keep it the same.

Speak with your florist about your colors and what you would like to do. I suggest taking a walk around the shoppe and looking at all the flowers. You may come across something that you really like and want to have in your wedding. The florist is there to help you design the flowers of your dreams.
Reply:Tulips are very good flowers for spring. I think you could go to a florist and look through the books of their different flowers %26amp; get their advice too. Even if you don't end up using a florist for the wedding - they dont know that - and they will want to help you so I bet they'll let you look at their books.

I noticed another answerer said toss in some pink. I have to agree with that, shades of pinks %26amp; reds in floral arrangements are very pretty and the different shades create a lot of depth.
Reply:your colors would still work, just use ivory as your primary color.
